May 2026 – Product update

This is Alex, founder & CEO of Vega.
This month, we shipped new updates to the Vega AI Email Assistant across Outlook and Gmail.
Email remains the operating system of most advisory firms.
Client questions arrive there. Follow-ups happen there. Documents get shared there. Tasks are assigned there. Important details about households, planning decisions, and next steps are buried across long threads.
And yet, most AI tools still require you to leave your inbox, open another application, copy and paste the relevant context, explain what you need, and then carry the result back into your email or CRM.
That is too much friction.
The Vega AI Email Assistant brings Vega directly into Outlook and Gmail, so you can draft replies, work with client context, and create CRM records without leaving your inbox.
Vega inside Outlook and Gmail
The Vega AI Email Assistant is available in both major email environments.
If you use Outlook, Vega can be installed as an add-in and opened alongside any email.
If you use Gmail, Vega is available through our Chrome extension and appears directly inside your Gmail interface.
In both cases, Vega sits on the right side of your inbox and works from the email thread you currently have open.
There is no need to copy the conversation into another tool or explain who the client is from scratch.
Vega can use the thread itself, your connected client data, your past interactions, and the knowledge already stored across your account.
Draft email responses with full context
The most obvious use case is drafting a reply.
Open an email and click Craft, and Vega will prepare a response based on the conversation.
You can also give Vega more specific instructions, such as:
- “Write a short reply confirming that I received the documents.”
- “Explain this in simpler terms and keep the tone reassuring.”
- “Draft a response based on the recommendations from our last meeting.”
- “Make this warmer and less formal.”
Vega generates the draft, but you remain in control.
You can review it, refine it, and insert it directly into the email when you are ready.
The goal is not to automate communication blindly. The goal is to remove the blank page and help you move through your inbox faster without losing your own judgment or voice.
Create CRM records directly from an email
The assistant does more than write.
An email often contains information that needs to end up somewhere else:
- a follow-up task
- a client note
- a new contact
- an appointment
- a workflow
- an update to an existing record
Traditionally, that means reading the email, opening your CRM, finding the correct household, creating the right record, and manually copying over the relevant details.
With Vega, you can ask:
- “Create a task to follow up next Friday.”
- “Log this as a note in the CRM.”
- “Update the client profile with the new address.”
- “Create a workflow for the account-opening process.”
Vega extracts the relevant information, fills in the record, and gives you a chance to review it before syncing it to your CRM.
If you do not use a CRM connected to Vega, the record can still be stored directly in Vega.
This turns the inbox from a place where work piles up into a place where work gets completed.
The same Vega intelligence, inside your inbox
The chat inside the Vega AI Email Assistant is not a separate, stripped-down version of Vega.
It uses the same core intelligence as the chat on the Vega web platform.
That means you can:
- work with your client data
- continue existing chat threads
- link conversations to clients and households
- use Vega’s AI agents
- draw on past meetings, emails, records, and firm knowledge
The difference is simply where the interaction happens.
On the web platform, you may start with a broad question or a workflow.
Inside the email assistant, the open email thread becomes the starting point.
That context makes the experience faster and more useful because Vega already understands what you are looking at.
Designed to stay out of the way
A good assistant should be available when needed without creating more clutter.
In Outlook, you can pin Vega so it remains visible as you move through your inbox.
Outlook treats reading an email and composing an email as two separate modes, so Vega should be pinned in both.
In Gmail, you can open or close Vega using a keyboard shortcut:
- Alt + V on Windows
- Option + V on Mac
These details may sound small, but software adoption often comes down to small amounts of friction.
If opening an assistant takes five clicks, people will use it occasionally.
If it is already beside the email they are reading, it can become part of their everyday workflow.
What is coming next
We are continuing to bring more of Vega’s capabilities into the inbox.
Upcoming additions include:
- Push-to-Talk, so you can speak to Vega directly from Outlook or Gmail
- document analysis inside email threads
- deeper actions across connected systems
- richer collaboration around client communication
Our broader goal remains the same.
Advisors should not have to spend their day moving information manually between email, meetings, CRMs, calendars, and planning tools.
Vega should understand the context, help complete the work, and keep your systems up to date from wherever you already are.
For many advisory teams, that place is the inbox.
